International Fragrance
You may ask, what is the true definition of the phrase International Fragrances? Is it something that smells like the world itself? Perhaps it is another cologne designed by Puff Daddy for men that can be found in every continent? Maybe Paris Hilton developed another perfume for younger women across the world. In reality, it isn’t any of these.
Also known as IFF, International Fragrances is a company that has given fragrance and flavor developers the rights and means to produce. They have been doing this for over 170 years. They actually run the research and development aspect of creating smells and tastes that have been sold all over the world. They actually create these aromas and tastes for soda, dairy products, cologne, toothpaste, soap, and cleaning supplies. Using science and creativity, they are the minds that come up with the top products that we use today. Being ranked #1 in the world, the creative and scientific ideals that are the cornerstone of International Fragrance come to life in their most famous products which are perfumes and cologne. Even the competitors of IFF (International Fragrance and Flavor) have been known to use similar ingredients and processes. It’s hard to imagine the amount of effort, time, and research go into the tiny bottles of cleverly named perfume that you would find on a shelf inside a store such as Macy’s. There are over 90 perfume producers in New York and Paris alone, with thousands more across the world. In reference to the most famous fragrances, IFF has produced colognes and perfumes like Beautiful, Drakkar Noir, and White Linen. All well known internationally. Not just sticking to the perfume and cologne, International Fragrances has also produced a great deal of other things, such as the way cleaning products smell. The two greatest things a consumer looks for in a cleaning product are how they smell and how well they work. Although they do produce these wonderfully effective products, IFF has no control over the advertising of the product or how it will eventually turn out. International Fragrances have been the undercover heroes that most consumers can’t even credit due to the overpowering aspect of advertisement, not necessarily how well the product works. However, there has been a constant flow of fragrances and flavors that have come out of IFF and hopefully someday International Fragrances will be recognized for the work they do. They are the ones responsible for making beautiful perfumes and dish soap that smells like a field full of flowers. IFF is singular in the fact that it is one of the largest companies involved with everyday products and most of its consumers don’t even realize it exists. Be it the smell of store-brand dish soap, or the alluring scent of a pricey women’s perfume, International Fragrances was probably behind its creation and genius. Although more costly than some would want to pay, the company still makes profit and you still smell fantastic. International Fragrances has that kind of power.
